Pete’s Tavern

Pete’s Tavern enjoys the distinction of being one of NYC’s oldest continuously operating taverns. Though the name has changed several times since its founding in 1864, “Pete’s Tavern” has stuck ever since Peter D’Belles took over in 1922. When Pete’s turned to Archigrafika to help rebrand the bar and restaurant, the team wanted to honor the establishment’s long history and maintain its most iconic elements. Archigrafika refreshed and refined their logo to feel more contemporary while matching the existing antique lettering on the tavern’s exterior. The new branding was then applied to the windows, awnings, staff uniforms, merchandise, coasters and doormats. In keeping with the tavern’s long history and vintage atmosphere, the large “Pete’s Tavern” logo on the main storefront was hand-painted by a local artist and filled out with gold leaf.
